Developed for Arctic temperatures and extremely windy conditions. The Cook Parka is in its element when things get really stormy and temperatures fall to well below freezing. It features Jack Wolfskin’s high performance duck down fill in a new box-wall construction. This type of fill chamber construction gives the down plenty of room to achieve its full loft and ensures optimal insulation performance. The jacket starts to warm you up from the get-go, as it also features a layer of Microguard Silver on the inside that reflects body heat for instant warmth. For enhanced ‘storm protection’ Jack Wolfskin have equipped this parka with their totally windproof Stormlock fabric. This fabric is so breathable that moisture vapour can escape quickly and the down is well ventilated and able to maintain its full insulation performance. And the lined snow skirt prevents wind and snow from entering the jacket from below. The hood design is inspired by those used for Arctic expedition jackets. The fake fur trim acts as a wind shield for the face and can be detached when not required. The hood is lined with robust Microguard synthetic insulation. The insulation performance of this material is unaffected by moisture or compression. The hood also features its own high collar for extra head protection. If you are planning to spend a long time outdoors in very cold temperatures, whether it’s dog sledding or an expedition through the winter tundra, The Cook Parka is the ideal choice.
